Yunho went to the front door to answer it, while Changmin followed curiously not forgetting to take his sandwich along with him.
The beauty smirked at Yunho when he came into sight. "It appears that we are indeed fated to meet again, Yunho-sshi."
"You..."
"Sorry about earlier. I was only testing to see if you're worth working for."
"You know who I am?"
"Well, your friend did tell me your name when I saw him at the cemetery. I wasn't one hundred percent sure that you're the same person who e-mailed me, but I was definite when you offered me your business card."
"Was that why you rejected my card?" Yunho asked.
"Yes. Why waste a good card when I don't need it? I already know your address and I don't own a cell phone."
"I see. So, you received an e-mail from me as well?"
"Was that a trick question?"
"No."
"Are you not the one who e-mailed me the job invitation?"
"I'm afraid not." Seeing the gorgeous male's slight frown made Yunho uneasy. "But since you're here, you are welcomed to take the job. That is, if you're still interested."
"I wouldn't be here if I wasn't," he stated matter-of-factly.
"Excellent. Have you eaten yet? We're currently having lunch. Would you like some?"
"Alright."
"Did you bring your belongings with you?"
"They are in my car."
"You could carry them in after you eat," Yunho suggested.
"Yay!" Changmin cheered. "Hi, I'm Changmin." He extended his sandwich to the lad and gasped when he realized it. Quickly switching the half-eaten sandwich to his other hand, he repeated his previous gesture. "I'm new here, too."
"My name is Jaejoong and I see dead people," he informed whilst shaking Changmin's hand.
"That's a cool intro. I should think of one for myself. Let's see." Changmin took a bite of his lunch and chewed while in thought. "I know," he mumbled and swallowed. "I'm Changmin, the gadget guy," he announced happily.
"Come on, Jaejoong," Yunho interrupted. "Let's go inside."
Jaejoong nodded in agreement and stepped into the mansion. Yunho was about to close the door but halted when he saw someone walking in the gate. The young man had a head of blond hair and was clumsily dragging a wheeled luggage with him. Lifting the luggage up the porch, he hurried up to greet Yunho.
"You must be Yunho-sshi," he said bowing his head shyly and with uncertainty. "I'm Junsu, your new assistant."
"Wow, another one? How many assistants are you hiring, hyung?" Changmin inquired.
"Your guess is as good as mine," Yunho uttered. "Come on in, Junsu-sshi. I think it's time for me to go check my e-mails."
"Okay." Junsu complied and walked in.
"You think there's any more?" Changmin brought up.
"One more," Jaejoong voiced.
"Huh?" Changmin glanced over at Jaejoong. "How...?"
Before Jaejoong could respond, footsteps could be heard running toward them. The man reached the porch shortly and bent forward resting his palms on his thighs as he tried to catch his breath.
"S-Sorry, I'm late. I had to park my car two blocks down because there were no vacant spaces on the street." Straightening up, he smiled showing his stunning dimples. "Which one of you is Yunho-sshi?"
"That would be me." Yunho extended his hand and the newest visitor shook it.
"Hello boss. I'm Yoochun."
Yunho glanced over at Jaejoong. "Is there more?"
"That should be it."
"Alright, everyone in," Yunho directed. "Changmin, could you take them into the kitchen? You guys could help yourself to the food. I'm going to go grab my laptop and join all of you there."
"Sure thing." With that, Changmin did as he was instructed and led the three in to get some lunch.
Yunho entered the kitchen minutes later and saw Jaejoong making sandwiches for the others. Placing his computer onto the counter, he switched it on.
"Mm...hyung...e-mails...delicious..." Changmin moaned incoherently.
Yunho lifted a brow at Changmin and noticed that he was eating a sandwich that Jaejoong made for him.
"S-Sorry," Changmin stuttered. "It's just that...this sandwich is so good. Not that the one you made for me wasn't. I finished that one already. I...never mind. I'm going to eat quietly now."
"It's fine, Changmin." Yunho chuckled. "You could be yourself in front of us."
Jaejoong placed a sandwich in front of Yunho. "In case you are still hungry after you eat the one you made."
"Um...Jaejoong-sshi?" Yunho addressed as he glimpsed up from his laptop.
"You could call me Jaejoong," the beauty corrected. "What is it?"
"Is Siwon here?"
"Yes."
"Was he the one who sent out the e-mails to recruit all of you?"
Jaejoong gazed at a spot beside Yunho and confirmed. "Yes."
"Is he...doing well?"
Jaejoong gave Yunho a nod of his head.
"I suppose, I could trust his choices." Yunho closed his laptop. "I'll provide food and shelter, but your pay will depend on the cases we receive. If everyone is alright with that, then we're a team."
"I'm in." Yoochun picked up his cup of coffee and took a sip.
"Me, too," Junsu muttered.
"How about you, Jaejoong?" Yunho queried.
"That's why I'm here. Plus, it would be nice to cook for more than one person for once."
Changmin's eyes sparkled. "This is awesome! Hyung, I could feel your place warming up with good aura already."
"Since we're a team, let's introduce ourselves to each other while we're having lunch," Yunho proposed.
And so, they did. Yunho ended up eating both of the sandwiches; the one he made for himself and the one Jaejoong made for him. Indeed, Jaejoong's one was extremely appetizing. After they were done eating, Jaejoong cleaned up the kitchen with Junsu's help.
"You guys could park your vehicles in the driveway, choose your rooms and move in. I'll go get the house keys duplicated and purchase other necessities. Does anyone have any requests?"
Jaejoong approached Yunho. "If it's okay, may I come with you to get some groceries?"
"Of course," Yunho approved. "Changmin, watch the place."
"Got it, hyung."
With that, Jaejoong got into Yunho's car and they headed out.
"Yunho...may I ask you a question?"
"Yeah."
"Why would you trust a bunch of strangers and let them into your home?"
"I trust that Siwon would want the best for me."
"How do you know that I'm not lying to you? Perhaps, I couldn't see ghosts and made up all of it in order to have a free place to stay."
"Then, how do you explain the e-mails which were sent out from my computer?" Yunho questioned.
"I'm a good hacker."
"Are you?"
"No."
Yunho glimpsed over at Jaejoong and smirked. "Would you believe me if I tell you that I am able to sense the presence of evil? I don't sense any evil from all of you, and my senses are pretty accurate."
Jaejoong listened attentively and a tiny smile curved his plump lips. "It's nice not to be the only one who is different. I could get used to this."
